Sausage Rolls
When Clara finally stopped waiting and decided to go after what she wanted, she didn’t show up empty-handed. Her still-warm sausage rolls made their way into a picnic basket meant to say: I care. I’m here. I brought snacks. He might’ve been distracted by her smile, but these flaky, savory parcels helped seal the deal.
Ingredients:
- 500g minced meat of your choice
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 1 tsp dried sage
- 1 tsp mustard
- 1 egg
- Salt & pepper
- 1 sheet puff pastry
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Mix sausage, onion, sage, mustard, salt, pepper, and one egg.
- Roll out pastry, fill and fold into logs. Slice into bite-size rolls.
- Brush with egg wash. Bake 25–30 mins.
